tlila さんの blogにて、「M⁺ FONTS の Windows 環境において多ウエイトフォントの展開が期待通りに行われない現象の解決」のエントリが公開されました。要点としては、フォントデータ内の Family 要素と Subfamily 要素の値を修正、PreferredFamily 要素と PreferredSubfamily 要素の記述を追加する必要があるようです。上記エントリでは配布後のフォントデータを修正する手順が記されています。もちろんフォント生成時にスクリプトから自動処理されるべき内容なのですが、行送り値の設定と同様にスクリプトの修正が必要となるため、力不足の自分では手に負えない状況です。お手数をおかけしますが、Windows 上で Black などの通常は選択できないウエイトをご利用の際は是非お試しください。また tlila さんもおっしゃっていますが、上記方法の検証という意味も含めて結果のご報告をいただけると助かります。更に図々しいお願いですが、上記 2 点（行送り値の設定と多ウエイト展開用の修正）を解決する修正スクリプトについても、ご協力いただけると嬉しいです。

先日の修正で、無事に Unicode: 6B73「歳」の Black、Unicode: 4F8B「例」の Heavy、Unicode: 8B0E「謎」の Thin のエラーメッセージは無くなりました。デザイン的にはこれで問題無いのですが、やはりエラー表示は気になりますし、今後に生じるかもしれない別のエラーが埋没しそうなので、残りの Unicode: 65AD「断」の Bold、Unicode: 82F1「英」の Medium、Unicode: 732E「献」の Thin についても .ai ファイルの段階で問題箇所の合成処理などを先行してみました。これでエラーメッセージは無くなると思いますが、この程度でエラーとされてしまうのならば、今後追加される漢字グリフに関しても注意が必要になりそうです。本日の修正でもエラーメッセージが残るようであれば #3 に続きます。

久しぶりに、放置気味だったエラーメッセージの解決に取り組んでみました。最初は Unicode: 6B73「歳」の Black。

元データを確認してみたところ、全てのグリフパーツが二重になっていたので余分なパーツを除去しました。デザインの歪み等はありません。続いて Unicode: 4F8B「例」の Heavy。

指示された座標付近の、非常に近接した 3 つのコーナーポイントが問題視されているような気がします。しかし Fontforge の解釈自体に問題は無く、デザインは崩れること無く再現されているので、このエラーメッセージは無視することにします。次に Unicode: 82F1「英」の Medium。

Fontforge が .svg ファイルを変換する際に、指示された座標付近で 3 つの非常に近接したポイントが生成されることを問題視しているような気がします。このグリフもデザインは崩れること無く再現されているので、エラーメッセージを無視することにします。次に Unicode: 732E「献」の Thin。

指示された座標付近で 3 つの直線の交点が微妙にずれていることを問題視しているような気がします。このグリフもデザインは崩れること無く再現されていますが、直線の 1 つを移動させることで（別のパーツに隠れている部分なのでデザインには影響しない）煩わしいエラーメッセージを減らすことにします。

とりあえずエラーの出ているグリフにデザイン上の問題が無かったので安心しました（前回の確認時には崩れたグリフがあった）、現在公開中のフォントは問題無くご利用いただけると思います。次の Make 時に、修正した 3 箇所のエラーメッセージが無くなっているのか確認します。
